Recipient must be participating in athletic capacity as opposed to coaching, managing etc.
• The nominee must have the City of Cambridge as their principal residence or represent the City of Cambridge in his/her athletic endeavours.• Athletes who reside outside of Cambridge for the purpose of training or competing are also eligible. • There will be no restriction on age.• There will be no discrimination between the sexes.• The term “sport” will include all sport activities recognized Provincial Sport Organization (PSO). • There will be no restriction on caliber or level of competition. • The degree of involvement in more than one sport is to be considered. • Sportsmanship, behaviour and deportment are to be considered. • This award is to be awarded at a maximum of once per year, but not necessarily every year.• This award is restricted to athletes of amateur status only. • In the event of a tie, the Selections Committee has the option to choose more than one individual.
