BILL STRUCK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Bill Struck Memorial Scholarship Fund was developed in memory of Councillor Bill Struck to honour his service to the community of Cambridge and his support of youth. Bill contributed to the community in a positive manner by youth to further their education. Bill served 28 years on the Preston, Cambridge and Region of Waterloo Councils until his untimely death on November 17, 1997.

This scholarship has been supported through donations from the City of Cambridge and fundraising initiatives by the Youth Advisory Council Cambridge. The scholarship was created in response to the many youth that are unable to access post secondary education due to financial restraints.

Year 2000 was the inaugural year for the Bill Struck Memorial Scholarship. The City of Cambridge is very appreciative of Bill Struck’s dedication and commitment to the youth concerns in Cambridge and hopes due to the Memorial Scholarship Fund, the memory of Bill Struck will endure.
